Sicily offers a wide range of accommodations, including luxury hotels, charming bed and breakfasts, and agriturismi (farm stays) where you can experience the rural side of the island. The itinerary can be adjusted based on your preferences and the time available. If you have more than 7 days, you can consider adding additional destinations like the Aeolian Islands, Ragusa, or the Baroque towns of Noto and Modica.
To reach Sicily, you can fly into Palermo or Catania, which have international airports. Alternatively, you can take a ferry from mainland Italy to Palermo or Messina. It's recommended to rent a car to explore the island conveniently and to have more flexibility during your trip.
Remember to check the opening hours of attractions, make any necessary reservations, and consider the seasonality of certain activities or sites.
