The Marche region, where the Riviera del Conero is located, is known for its beautiful landscapes, rich history, and delicious food and wine. Here are some more details about the itinerary I suggested:

Day 1: Ancona is the largest city in the region and has a rich history that dates back to ancient times. The historic center, located on a hill overlooking the sea, is home to many beautiful buildings, including the Cathedral of San Ciriaco and the Arco di Traiano. For lunch, brodetto is a must-try dish. It is a fish soup made with a variety of seafood, tomato, and bread, and is typically served with a slice of toasted bread rubbed with garlic. Vincisgrassi is another local specialty that is similar to lasagna but made with a rich meat and mushroom sauce and a creamy béchamel.

Day 2: The Conero Regional Park is a stunning natural area that offers both hiking trails and beautiful beaches. Portonovo is a small bay surrounded by lush greenery and clear waters and is a great spot to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch. The park also offers several hiking trails, including one that leads to the top of Mount Conero, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline.

Day 3: Loreto is a small town that is home to the Basilica della Santa Casa, a major Catholic pilgrimage site. The basilica houses the supposed house of the Virgin Mary, which was miraculously transported from Nazareth to Loreto in the 13th century. For lunch, ciauscolo is a local specialty that is a type of soft salami made with ground pork and spices. Olive all'ascolana is another local specialty that is fried stuffed olives, typically filled with a mixture of meat, cheese, and breadcrumbs.

Day 4: Jesi is a small town known for its medieval architecture and Verdicchio wine. Verdicchio is a white wine that is made from a grape of the same name. It is known for its fresh, crisp taste and pairs well with seafood. Passatelli is a local pasta that is made with breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and nutmeg, and typically served in a rich broth. Porchetta is a roasted pork dish that is a specialty throughout Italy and is particularly delicious in the Marche region.

Day 5: Numana and Sirolo are two small towns located on the coast, known for their picturesque streets and beaches. Brodetto alla sambenedettese is a variation of fish soup that is made with a tomato-based broth and is typically served with a slice of bread rubbed with garlic. A boat tour of the coast is a great way to see the stunning cliffs and hidden coves of the Conero Regional Park.

Day 6: Offagna is a small medieval town with an imposing castle that offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Rosso Conero is a red wine that is made from the Montepulciano grape and pairs well with hearty meat dishes such as salame di Fabriano, a cured meat made from pork shoulder and red wine, or formaggio di fossa, a cheese that is aged in underground pits.

Day 7: On your last day, you can explore any sites you may have missed earlier in the week. Stoccafisso all'anconetana is a local dish made with salt cod, tomatoes, onions, and black olives. It is typically served with polenta or potatoes. If you have time, you can also explore other parts of the Marche region, such as the historic town of Urbino, the Frasassi Caves, or the picturesque town of Ascoli Piceno.
