Miramare Castle is a 19th-century castle located on the Gulf of Trieste near Trieste, northeastern Italy. It was built between 1856 and 1860 by Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Austria and his wife Charlotte of Belgium. The castle was designed by the architect Carl Junker, who combined different architectural styles, including Gothic, Renaissance, and Byzantine. The castle has 20 rooms and is surrounded by a large park that covers 22 hectares.
