Description: If you're planning a 3-day tour from Rome to Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento, and Capri, here is a suggested itinerary: Article written by Copywriter

Day 1: Start early in the morning and take a high-speed train from Rome to Naples. Upon arrival, you will be met by a tour guide who will take you on a walking tour of the city's historic center, including the Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, and the Castel dell'Ovo. You'll also get to sample some of Naples' famous pizzas for lunch. In the afternoon, you'll head to Pompeii, where you'll explore the ancient city and learn about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD that buried it. You'll stay overnight in Sorrento.

Day 2: After breakfast, you'll take a ferry to the beautiful island of Capri, where you'll explore the Blue Grotto, the Faraglioni rocks, and the Gardens of Augustus. You'll have time to enjoy lunch on the island before taking the ferry back to Sorrento. In the evening, you can explore Sorrento's charming historic center and enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Day 3: On your final day, you'll have some free time in the morning to explore Sorrento further, perhaps visiting the Cathedral of Sorrento or the Villa Comunale Park. In the afternoon, you'll travel back to Rome by high-speed train, arriving in the evening.

This itinerary will allow you to experience some of the highlights of southern Italy, from the ancient ruins of Pompeii to the natural beauty of Capri, all while enjoying the delicious food and charming towns of the region.
