Here in the Marche the sporting sailing with a long tradition behind it of enthusiasts and professionals at the Olympic level and which has also had great recognition in international competitions in the Optimist and Laser classes, but also many amateurs, who have their base in the ports of Fano, Ancona , Grottamare and San Benedetto, just to name a few of the best known.
Before sport, which can be practiced alone or in a team, obviously the Adriatic was plowed by boats such as the Tartane, so typical of this sea that they even deserved a specific type of sailing called "Adriatic sailing".
