Porta Marina epoch: XIII - XV - terracotta doors, In reality it is a counter door built a few meters from the real entrance to the village, on the access ramp, which was mainly used to dampen the heat of the besieging charges. Of the original, demolished in the early 1900s, only the terracotta decoration of the arch installed above the current archway remains. With a pleasant scenic impact, it leans against the remains of the eastern civic walls and the battlements are added in recent times. A loophole completes the defense of the structure, while in the wall thickness a votive shrine has been obtained near which there is a sandstone wall depicting a siren and two peacocks drinking from a source. Further on there is a narrow passage that leads into the road network of the village: here was the ancient Porta Marina, visible in some vintage photos. Click here for a map.
