Abbey garden in Campofilone –

Abbey garden in Campofilone. In the first half of the fourteenth century, the city of Fermo had a curtain wall built with a large tower to better defend the western summit of Campofilone. The Benedictine monks used the internal space as a vegetable garden and olive grove until 1,700. Now there remains a splendid and green space from which to admire the Aso valley, the surrounding villages and the Sibillini on the horizon.
