Torrione della Battaglia, Largo il Tarpato, Via Torrione, 63066 Grottammare AP, Marches, Italy.
The Torrione della Battaglia dates back to the mid-16th century and is included in the walls built when, after the invasion and looting of the Ulcinj pirates, in 1525, the old walls were reinforced by a new fortified wall. According to tradition, the father of Pope Sixtus V Peretti also collaborated in the construction of the tower.
It is crowned by a series of corbels for the lead defense on which the curvilinear merlons are set, which currently constitute the parapet for the belvedere built on the top of the tower.

Inside, in a very suggestive structure that allows you to enjoy through some slits of a beautiful landscape, the museum dedicated to the sculptor Pericle Fazzini, author of the famous Resurrection in the Sala delle Udienze in the Vatican, has been set up.
