Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi, 100 63822, Porto San Giorgio, FM, Province of Fermo, Marches, Italy.
The fountain of Democracy or Abundance: In 1897 the aqueduct was built for the city of Porto San Giorgio, and, to celebrate the important event, it was decided to ask Alfonso Bernardini to create a sculpture that celebrated forever a work so relevant to all citizens. In the upper part of the entire sculpture, placed over a globe, stands a majestic female figure (image allegory of democracy) that holds a pomegranate in the right hand and ears of wheat in the left hand, symbols of fertility and abundance respectively. Clock Tower: Built-in 1829 in the main square to replace another tower unfortunately demolished in 1820. Every citizen, and why not, every passing tourist throws an eye to the majestic and punctual friend.
