Red Moon, Blood Moon or: partial Moon eclipse. They are the different names of a fascinating and suggestive phenomenon that sees our satellite, the moon, painted in orange. When a lunar eclipse occurs, the only light captured by the surface of our satellite comes from the edges of the earth's atmosphere. This involves filtering the blue light of our star, the sun, caused by the molecules present at the highest altitudes on Earth. What remains are the red spectrum radiations, reflected in the Moon that we admire in the night.
