Cannaregio, 30100 Venice, Metropolitan City of Venice, Italy. The Sestiere Cannaregio, is the district or quarter that I attended most in my stay in Venice, The neighborhood is in the North East of Venice, from the station the main arrival point for those arriving in Venice until you get to Piazza San Marco, crossing it you meet the popular Venice of the students up to the tourist one. The lively Cannaregio district is known for the Jewish ghetto of the sixteenth century. The Strada Nova is a famous local shopping street, while the secondary streets are a destination for lovers of crafts and vintage products. Informal restaurants and bars on the canal flank the nearby Fondamenta Della Misericordia and Fondamenta dei Ormesini, while the sumptuous Ca 'd'Oro palace displays a collection of Renaissance art.
