63824 Altidona, Province of Fermo, Italy, Altidona, The Marches, Italy. Altidona perched on a gentle hill in front of the Adriatic sea invites to beautiful excursions even walking.
Its position near the sea, surrounded by low hills, allows you to see many landscapes, from the intense green of the Valdaso to the red of the walls of the nearby villages also perched on the hills, up to see the famous and fascinating blue mountains, the Monti Sibillini.
The medieval walls of the castle are well preserved. Also worth seeing is the Belvedere, a medieval lookout tower overlooking the Valle dell'Aso, and the table, attributed to Vincenzo Pagani, depicting the Madonna with Child, two saints and donor kept at the parish church. Villa Montana and the Roman cistern are located in the ancient district of Barbolano.
